Framer Pricing in 2026: Every Plan, the Free Plan and the Student Discount

Framer has four plans in 2026: Free ($0), Basic ($10 a month billed yearly, or $15 billed monthly), Pro ($30 a month billed yearly, or $45 billed monthly) and Enterprise (custom pricing). Plans are bought per site, not per account. Students can get a Basic-level site free for a year. Every figure here was checked on Framer's pricing page on 11 September 2026.

No commission here: we sell Framer templates, not Framer plans, and we earn nothing from which plan you choose. Framer changes its prices from time to time, so check its pricing page before you pay.

Framer Plans at a Glance

Billed yearly, both paid plans also include a complimentary domain. Pro adds site redirects, a staging environment, branching with previews, 90 days of analytics (Basic has 30) and hosting from 300+ locations (Basic has 20). Sales tax is added at checkout.

The Framer Free Plan: What You Get and Where It Stops

The free plan is genuinely usable. Framer's own FAQ says free projects get 10 CMS collections, 1,000 pages, 5 MB file uploads and one locale to try, plus 500 AI credits while the workspace has no paid subscription, and up to three editors can collaborate. You can publish, too: free sites go live on a Framer subdomain.

It stops in three places:

• No custom domain. Putting a site on your own domain needs a paid plan.
• 1 GB of bandwidth. Enough for a portfolio in progress or a small side project, not for a site you are marketing.
• Framer's own guidance. Framer describes the free plan as ideal for non-commercial use, and positions Basic for freelancers and small studios.

That makes it the right plan for learning Framer, prototyping, building a site before launch, or trying a template. All 19 free Framer templates in our catalogue can be remixed into a free workspace and edited without paying anyone.

Basic or Pro: Which Paid Plan You Need

Basic ($10 a month, billed yearly) covers most personal sites: a portfolio, a freelancer's site, a small studio or a local business. Its limits are 30 pages, 2 CMS collections (a blog and a projects list, say), 1,000 CMS items and 50 GB of bandwidth.

Pro ($30 a month, billed yearly) is for sites that are part of how a business sells. Upgrade when any of these is true:

• You are moving an existing site to Framer and need redirects from the old URLs, so you keep your search rankings. Redirects are Pro only.
• You need more than two CMS collections, for example a blog, case studies, team members and job listings.
• Several people publish changes and you want a staging environment and branching with previews before anything goes live.
• You want A/B testing or custom hosting headers. Both are Pro add-ons.

If none of those apply, Basic is enough, and moving from Basic to Pro later is an upgrade, not a rebuild.

The Framer Student Discount

Framer gives students a free site for a year: hosting for a portfolio or personal site that Framer values at $120 a year, which matches Basic billed yearly, plus 1,000 AI credits a month. The details from Framer's student page:

• Who qualifies: anyone enrolled in a certified in-person or online programme, such as a high school, college or university.
• How to apply: your name, school, school email, expected graduation date and a photo of your student ID showing your full name and the school's logo.
• How long it takes: Framer aims to review applications within five working days. You can build on a free account in the meantime.
• How long it lasts: one year. You can re-apply every 11 months for as long as you are a student.
• The conditions: the code is for your personal student website (portfolio, class projects, résumé), must not be shared or resold, and for now only new customers can redeem it.

Costs Beyond the Plan

The plan price is not always the whole bill. What can add to it:

• Each site is billed separately. Plans are per site, so an agency running five client sites on Pro pays for five Pro plans.
• Editors. The workspace owner and viewers are free. Each additional editor who designs and publishes costs $20 a month; an editor who only updates CMS content and localisation costs $10 a month. Basic and Pro allow up to 10 people with edit access.
• Languages. Each translation locale costs $20 a month, up to 20.
• Pro add-ons. Convert (A/B testing, funnels and triggers) is $50 per 500,000 events; Advanced Hosting (up to 6 rewrites, custom headers and 50 static files) is $200.
• Going over a limit. Framer asks you to upgrade at hard limits, and lets bandwidth run over for one month with an email warning.

Refunds are narrow: Framer refunds subscriptions bought within the last 14 days if you live in the EU or Turkey, where the law requires it.

Save on the Build, Not Just the Plan
